Is it safe?
Tooth whitening under the supervision of a dentist is a completely safe and common procedure. Teeth whitening is not suitable for children or for pregnant or lactating women.
Am I suitable for tooth whitening?
Tooth whitening can work better for some than others. Sean can examine your teeth to determine if you are a good candidate for tooth whitening or not. At Corry Dental Care we mainly use take home bleaching products but in extreme cases may recommend in-surgery tooth whitening which has the potential to whiten by up to 8 shades. However most tooth whitening cases are done using take hone tooth whitening kits using custom trays which are made on the premises and can be supplied within the
hour for your convenience.
What can I expect?
Tooth whitening will remove stains and discolouration caused by food, beverages, tobacco, medications and age. If your teeth are severely discoloured Sean may suggest porcelain veneers or crowns to transform your smile. However because tooth whitening is so effective and cost effective it is always worth a try before considering other options or as an aid to improving the smile prior to other complex smile improvements.
